So Pregnant in Heels Season 2 has kicked off with some controversial topics. From home birth to placenta eating, elimination communication and pregnancy Kama Sutra, I certainly have everything covered in this season it's crazy town!

I am also pregnant during this season (though I had our baby girl Vivienne Madison Pope on Sunday May 13) and while I may not request placenta smoothies, I have to admit I had the same anxiety as the rest of my clients. We all want to be the best parents we can be and sometimes this anxiety makes us do or request crazy things....

As we are preparing for the arrival of our new baby girl, I thought it was a great time to discuss with Dr. Jen Canter how she managed the big transition of a new sibling with her kids. She was able to provide some great bits of advice for parents who are adding to their family.

I am thrilled I was invited to host an evening to celebrate the book "The Super Adventures of Sophie and the City-All in a Day’s Work" written by Kelly Florio Kasouf (in the pic with me). The evening and the book were a perfect marriage between fashion and parenting (two things you all know I hold near and dear) and so I couldn't be happier to tell you more about this fabulous children's book.

So when I'm not pregnant I do like to indulge in coffee, especially a fun latte or cappuccino! I go cold turkey when I get pregnant but I have to admit while I find cutting caffeine out only a little tricky at first it is more the ritual of going to the coffee place and ordering something exciting mid-afternoon, perhaps with something tasty on the side, that I miss. This is why I started considering a decaf latte here and there to have the indulgence without the guilt of the caffeine. What I found though was quiet alarming some decaffeinated coffee has not been decaffeinated in a safe way. Let me summarize what I've discovered so that if you do choose to indulge you can find out what is safe and what is not.

The Liberty store started in 1875, but has been in the same location since 1885 it stands alone on the street with its distinguishing architecture steeped in so much history. It feels like you’re entering more of a grand cottage in the 19th Century than a department store in the center of London steeped in the tradition of fashion and eclectic design.

Alas, potty training is one of those great milestones in a toddler’s life that I think parents face with both fear and excitement. The thought of your little one being a little independent and not needing to pack all those diapers is a great one but the process of getting there can often fill us with trepidation.

Your wee one’s life is always filled with so many milestones and transitioning to a toddler bed is another one of those. Usually between your little one’s second and third birthday, though some kid’s transition earlier, they will be ready for a toddler bed and despite them always being ‘your’ baby, this is a sure sign that they are no longer a baby. There is a great Elmo book about the transition that can help ease some of your wee one's anxiety. I wrote this blog to help ease some of yours.

I don’t know if I was a particularly girly girl on the outside. I didn’t spend time dressing as one princess or another, glued to every prince and princess tale, although I do remember secretly wanting to be all glitter and fairies and I have to admit now as I walk passed Tutus, Fairy Princess Stories and any other glitz that catches my eye I crack a smile thinking about whether my daughter will be into all of these things….because if she is mommy is ready to get out that bedazzler and glitter glue!

So even though I’m not home this Valentine’s Day I thought I would share with you a recipe for cupcakes with pink frosting. This recipe is perfect for today and really fun to make with the help of your wee one. J.R. loves helping me measure and push the buttons on the mixer and of course lick the bowl when we’re finished.

So looks like this year I'll be filming on location for Valentine’s Day with Pregnant in Heels but then again my husband and I have never really been ones to celebrate it....I know I know, can you believe it?! No bouquet of Roses or boxes full of chocolates for moi! But it really doesn't mean that Valentine’s Day isn't still very special. For me it means arts and crafts and cupcakes with the kids and it doesn't get much better than that in my book!

For an English girl, I sure have an American passion: Football (and I don't mean soccer). In 2006 I barely knew it existed but then I met my husband and then of course his Father. Let's just say Football is a big part of the Pope family with my husband playing college football and my father-in-law being one of the coaches for the NY Giants.

So it’s almost that time in my pregnancy when my hubby and I can find out whether we are having a girl or a boy. It such a big, exciting decision for couples deciding whether they want to find out or not and if they do how. I am a big believer in doing whatever makes you feel like the experience of pregnancy and becoming a parent is even more...

So I’m not exactly the type to usually tuck into a beef burger but after my last prenatal visit I might have to think otherwise! At one’s end of first trimester appointment most are tested for anemia and usually the results come back with no alarm bells sounding. However as pregnant women head further into their pregnancies and their blood volume expands

My toddler was ridiculously excited for Halloween. So much so that when he changed his mind from wanting to be Superman to Batman I got online late at night and had rush delivered a new costume so that he wouldn't be disappointed. As I picked him up from school he threw himself into my arms and dived directly into my bag to make sure I'd brought both his costume and his pumpkin basket for all the candy collection we would be doing.

One of my favorite things to do at the end of a crazy day is to climb into bed with my 3 year old and read him bedtime stories before he goes to sleep. We are both usually so tired that we fall asleep before we ever get to a third book and my husband has to wake me for dinner, but those moments together reading through the pages, laughing, skipping back and forth from book to book are some of the best.

Well my lovelies, I am so pleased to tell you all that the news is true; I am indeed expecting my third child and due next year.

After all the fertility struggles I experienced getting pregnant with baby Wellington I can hardly believe that I am pregnant again so soon and what a surprise, the very best surprise I could ever get. As you all know we are shooting Season 2 of Pregnant in heels (although I am definitely Pregnant in flats right now), so hopefully you'll get to follow me on this amazing journey on each episode.
