Rosie Pope for Pea in the Pod Collection
I am not sure how many of you know this but I got my start in the world of maternity working as a sales associate on the floor of the 57th street and Madison Avenue A Pea in the Pod. It was an experience I will never forget. Now to be in the position to design the Rosie Pope for A Pea in the Pod Collection is really a major milestone for me. If I could drink champagne (still breast feeding so I’ll have to hold off as there is no telling just how much I might guzzle) this is something I might have rather a few glasses over!
The collection hits all of their stores tomorrow and is made up of 18 fabulous pieces. I designed this collection while pregnant with Vivienne with the goal of making them as luxurious but as versatile as possible. I love designing while pregnant as I feel the collection reflects exactly what someone really going through pregnancy wants to wear.
While most of us aren’t jet setting to St Barts or attending Galas each night, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t feel glamorous because let’s face it, a little glamour really brightens up a gals day and that my dears is what I’m all about. While the pieces have this air to them they are designed in practical fabrics and in most cases can take you from desk-to dinner, from pregnancy to post-partum.
So these are pieces you shouldn’t necessarily feel are only for pregnancy. There are even some feathers and other glam elements straight off the runways thrown in because I believe that pregnant or not you should be free to embrace the latest styles and trends.
So pop into A Pea in the Pod and nab yourself some exclusive Rosie Pope styles. I can’t wait to see all you lovelies wearing them. Please post some pictures of your favorite looks, Tweet them and post on Facebook.
