Countdown to MommyIQ Book Tour
As I sit here nervously listing all the things I need to do before I leave for my almost month long book tour (yes, “Mommy IQ: The Complete Guide to Pregnancy” is finally here) and how I am going to take at least one of my children on each leg of the trip (I know crazy), I keep welling up. I have never been away from any of them for this length of time. It’s only making matters worse that I decided to get a pedicure while I make this list and run around the city as I thought a little pampering might do me good! But now I am just mad at myself for taking an hour out of my day to get my nails painted when I could be doing a lot of other things. Oh and then there is the fact that they are playing cello music that in other venues might be amazing but in this one drives me crazy! To say that I am a little overwhelmed is an understatement but on the up side I am going to be able to make it back for Halloween and stuff my face with candy with my kids…I just hope they remember who I am by then! Okay now I am really crying…Halloween seems like an age away and to think I won’t be properly home until almost Halloween is crazy.
Stripping back any of this personal collision in my mind, it does make me proud to think that I have, at last, written my own book! My thoughts and years of research are now all neatly bound in a book for your beautiful eyes to read. Getting pregnant, being pregnant and having a baby can be one of the most amazing experiences in ones life but it can also be one of the most anxiety provoking because, quiet simply, you want to do it just right. Figuring out what is “just right” for you will take quite some time but having my book as a companion will hopefully really help because it will provoke thoughts, answer hopefully ALL of your questions and give you access to some of my amazing experts, Dr. Amos Grunebaum the renowned OB-GYN for NY Presbyterian Weill Cornell Hospital and Andrea Orbeck, fitness trainer to the super models (and of course humble me), all the while guiding you through each step of your pregnancy and delivery so you feel confident, prepared and know you are doing it “right” or at least as “right” as you can!
Whether it’s you that wants to get pregnant or already is, or maybe its a friend or a sister, daughter, cousin or niece. This book is a companion guide and I hope it will make life a little easier for you and your loved ones embarking on this amazing journey.
I am hoping I am coming to an area near you so I can finally meet you all. Check out the tour schedule below and make it a date!
