Book Tour: Day 1

As the book tour gets underway, I’ll be using this space to collect my thoughts into a mini Book Tour journal.  For a live account, make sure you follow me on Twitter @RosiePope.  We’ll even be taping (think “Blair Witch” in terms of quality, but at lot less scary…I hope) and I’ll keep you posted on where to view.  Now onto my Day 1 musings…

My day started at the crack of dawn tip-toeing through my apartment because I was actually up before all my babes, can you believe it.  As I crashed into various trains left lying around from the yesterday’s Thomas rescue bonanza I slid into the shower only to find out that my hair is falling out in clumps! I mean clumps.  Nothing sexier than a balding mommy guru! Alas, one of the amazing side effects of post pregnancy.  It  may be officially time to move to extensions (that would be very Bravo of me)..I’ll have to ask the amazing Karina Montoya (my hair/make-up extraordinaire) her most honest opinion! She’ll probably just whack me with the curling tongs for not taking my Omega supplements (okay that was a little dramatic but I’m feeling kind of emotional).

I have such mixed feelings about the book tour.  I feel so proud to actually be an author and to be traveling around the country but I still cannot get my head around not seeing my wee ones everyday.  Will all this be worth it one day, for their future? Will I be able to lie in bed with them at night telling tales of entrepreneurial adventure and inspiring them? I hope so.  Vivi is coming on the first leg of the tour…her second time to LA before her 5 month birthday!  Wow.

Well, here goes…deep breath for the Today Show, Fox 5, HLN Making it in America and then the first book signing in Ridgewood!  Hope some people turn up!! If not, I’ve got my assistant Annie primed with some questions on Folate!
