Introducing…The Ladies of Charm & Chain

Posted on November 14, 2012 at 1:46 pm by Rosie Pope / MomPrep Expert, Style

There are so many different ways of expressing one’s sense of style and one of my favorite is through jewelry.  It is incredible how you can take one outfit and transition it to be perfect for so many different types of occasions and moods.  And trust me, I know better than anyone how difficult it can be when you’re pregnant to make that dress that fits so perfectly work for the day, night, weekend and even weddings…oh and also work for every mood you might be experiencing.  My friends at Charm and Chain, Jamie Rutenberg & Ali Galgano, always come to the rescue and so I am thrilled to announce them as our new accessories experts.

To read their full bios, please visit their expert page here.  You can also follow them on Twitter, Facebook, or at their website.  I also asked them both to participate in my expert questionnaire; ladies, take it away…

EXPERT QUESTIONNAIRE

What’s your best fashion advice for Moms in 10 words or less? (you can make this specific to accessorizing/jewelry)

Most importantly, wear what makes you feel beautiful, and remember jewelry always fits!

What’s the number one thing you get asked? What’s your answer?

“What is your jewelry must-have?” is a popular question we get asked a lot. We believe statement earrings are our #1 must-have because they attract great attention to your face.

What’s the number one thing you wished you were asked and why?

We wish we were asked, “Why do you believe in the power of jewelry over apparel?” We believe that jewelry transforms outfits better than any garment can. With different jewelry choices, you can repeat certain outfits with no judgment.

Tell us something we don’t know

Very few people can tell the difference between crystals and real diamonds, so invest in crystal studs! Save your money for beautiful statement pieces that make a big impact.

In your opinion, what’s the most interesting trend going on in your industry right now?

Women are shifting their jewelry preferences from small to larger pieces. We are seeing a huge transformation in the size and boldness of women’s jewelry pieces.

Why do you do what you do?

We love the idea of providing jewelry, a fashion staple, to women that makes them feel beautiful no matter what shape and size they are.
