Fall Fashion Mysteries SOLVED!
When I’m pregnant (or even when I’m not pregnant!) I love a good sweater dress during the early fall months. They offer the perfect cozy feeling I crave when I’m pregnant, without making me so hot that I’m miserable throughout the day. Pair yours with maternity tights or suede boots once the temperature really drops.
Maternity jackets and maternity coats are tricky in the fall. If your coat is too heavy, you’re a sweaty mess; if your jacket is too light, you’re cursing winter and freezing before you need to be! My solution? A maternity sweater that is heavy enough to wear as a jacket. It’s a chic way to stay warm on chilly fall nights and mornings. I also love a great blazer over a summer maternity dress for some added warmth during the sunny but crisp fall days.
Just because the temperature has dropped does not mean I am ready to give up my summer prints and vibrant colors. I retire my summer ikat prints in exchange for prints with richer, more vibrant fall colors and shift my wardrobe brights to fall fabrics like corduroy. And, of course, I break out the maternity denim again and pair all of my printed blouses with dark, skinny jeans. Fall’s perfect look!
