Springtime Baby Girl Names fit for a Royal Princess
Baby Girl Names fit for Royalty
Kate Middleton is likely just days away from giving birth to what (at least I am hoping!) might be a baby girl. Can you imagine how sweet it would be to see Prince George playing with and loving a tiny little pink bundle? I’m sure that no matter what, Will and Kate’s new royal baby will be more adorable than we can imagine—but the first thing they’re going to need to think about is what to call her!
Luckily, I’ve got some perfect springtime baby girl names that the Duchess of Cambridge can borrow from—and you can, too! Here are my top four all-floral picks for a royal baby girl name:
Lily — The name inspired by one of springtime’s most iconic flowers also means innocence, purity, and beauty. And sharing a name with cool girls Lily Allen and and Lily Collins doesn’t sound half bad.
Lila — It’s unconventional, but refers to the lilac blooms that cover English cottages at this time of year. The name would serve as a reminder of Kate’s childhood in the North—plus, I just love the sound of it. Princess Lila!
Iris — Iris is one of the coolest names in my book. Of course it comes from the tall, noble, and vibrant spring flower, but the name itself is actually from the Greek word for “rainbow.” How beautiful is that?
Rose — This one might just be my favorite baby girl name for a royal baby. Think about it: Roses are the ultimate flower for showing affection, but beyond that, Prince William’s mother, the late and beloved Princess Diana, was known as England’s Rose. It’s the perfect way to honor the People’s Princess without outright using her name.
What do you think Prince William and Duchess Kate should name their baby if it’s a girl? What are your favorite springtime baby names? Share in the comments!
