What If Kim Kardashian Named Her Son Bruce?

After pregnant Kim Kardashian came out and made fun of the possibility of naming her soon-to-be son South West, I got thinking about names that might make sense for the Kardashian-West crew. Since they went against the K tradition with sweet baby girl North West, I don’t think it will be a K-name (they wouldn’t want Nori to feel left out!)—so what else might it be?

Then last night, I had a brain flash—Would Kim and Kanye name their son after Kim’s father-in-law, Bruce Jenner? I know that Bruce has transitioned and is now a woman named Caitlyn, but it obviously took strength for Olympic champion Bruce to overcome the fear and stigma he must have felt to be honest with the world and make the transition. Naming their new son Bruce could be a special tribute to the father-in-law that Kim is so close to, but it could also be seen as a call back to a time before Caitlyn was free to be herself—which could be a painful reminder of years of hurt and secrecy.

What do you think? Would it be a sweet tribute or kind of a burn to name North West’s baby brother Bruce West? Either way, one thing’s for sure—any child named after either Bruce Jenner or Caitlyn Jenner would have some pretty impressive shoes to fill.
